DAILY STYLE | Oxford University + Double Denim

Today I am exploring the magical world of Oxford, in particular, Oxford University. Oxford University is the heartbeat to small English town, Oxford. It is a history goldmine dating back to 1096 (making it the oldest university in the English speaking world). It was so all so grand and the architecture was incredible but it also had a very homely feeling to it – with lots of small cottages and family run restaurants. We got the fast train to Oxford which took approx. 45mins from London. I would recommend to anyone who wants to escape the crowds and soak up some of London’s history. Food? Jamie’s Italian was a hot spot for hearty meals and lovely wine.

I decided to rock a bit of double-denim today. Don’t get me wrong – I know this is nothing new. I just am so happy the trends suck around long enough that it has become very much the norm now rather than a faux-paux. Denim (first popularised by the infamous Levi Strauss in 1873) is a key staple in any girls wardrobe. The variety of colours and styles makes it so versatile and also the texture allows it to be flexible enough to be worn in any season. I always find myself opting for denim, whether it be in the middle of winter tee’d with a woolen knit or in the middle of summer with a light top and heels. Somehow denim always seems to work.
