The Standard Hotel is classic New York meets new American cuisine. It stands proudly in the heart of the Meatpacking District and is a must visit when in NYC. The Standard also have hotels in Miami and LA but NY is my all time favourite.
The Standard Plaza, sits in front of the hotel at the corner 13th and Washington Streets. The décor in this joint is amazing! It features large-scale art installations including to date: KAWS, Erwin Wurm and Kenny Scharf. Inside the cafe it is clean and bright with white oak and tile walls and features fresh oysters, speciality cocktails and charcuterie. It also has street-facing tables, so it is great for people watching in one of the most trendiest spots in New York. The Summer ‘Morning Standard’ menu features fresh produce from the Locusts Farm upstate and house-made gelatos and sorbets.
Here we are enjoy the morning sun with a cheeky champagne and cocktail. Liquid breakfast anyone??
