Market Table first opened it’s doors to the New York public in 2007, so it’s been around for a good stint. But it hasn’t been until recently that’s its been well on the radar and chosen as the critics pick for best restaurants in NYC.
The menu is filled with simple, comforting dishes that happen to change based on what’s in season—not just because kale is en vogue. They have a wide variety of fish, poultry, meat and veggie dishes. So, if your a fussy menu person like me, this is your spot!
Market Table’s a great place to take a romantic date, but it’s casual enough that you can stop by on a whim without a reservation—as long as you’re prepared for an expensive meal (most entrées are in the high twenties). This place is also a great hangover lunch cure – with turkey BLT’s, beef burgers and an extensive cocktail list – you can sit with your sunnies on and face hidden and sink your teeth into something mouth watering.
