The mere mention of Bali evokes thoughts of a paradise, no matter where you’re from in the world. It’s a regular hot spot & quick weekender for Aussies and its an exotic Honeymoon location for Europeans.
Bali has always been on my list of places to visit. So many good friends had been and fell in love with it -so I’ve got a pretty good idea that I’d fall in love too. However, like anywhere in the world, Bali’s reputation varies, depending on who you ask. So below is my summary of what I think makes Bali so cool and why I am making it my next place to tick of the bucket list.
There’s the bang-for-your-buck factor that attracts a lot of tourists. It’s a cheap and cheerful holiday destination. I know for Australians, instead of blowing all your cash on a 4 week European adventure they have 4 long weekends away in Bali for the same price (or cheaper).
It’s a stone throw away from the land of Oz. Due to its geographic location it is frequently visited by Aussies and often the first place people visit abroad. I remember back at school almost half my year in primary school had already been.
The rich culture of Bali plays out at all levels of life. The spiritual and religious aspects allows for beautiful temples and statues to be explored and appreciated. Yoga is ingrained in the Hindu and Buddhist spiritual practice, so everyone always leaves time for a bit of downward dog.
Hospitality never fails! Bali is home to some of the friendliest and most welcoming people in the world, where no tourist demand is too demanding and service with a smile is standard.
The stunning natural sights are definitely Instagram worthy and allows you to feel like you have excaped to another world.
When booking a holiday I found it depends what time of the year you are booking. However some sites over flash sales with up to 75% off. Check one of them out here
Bali is more than a place; it’s a mood, an aspiration, a tropical state of mind. And I can’t WAIT to go explore it.
